Magnificent GCSE results again for Cullompton Community College.

Students and staff at Cullompton Community College are thrilled with top class GCSE results again this year. Students achieved a magnificent 73% in the gold standard of 5+ A*-C including English and maths securing the best ever results in the history of the school. This outstanding achievement demonstrates a further 6% point improvement against a national backdrop of an increasing level of challenge which makes the achievement of our students all the more remarkable.

Maths maintained top position with 82% A*-C and English soared with 83% of students achieving A*-C. Progress in maths and English was exceptional for all students with a remarkable 88% making expected levels of progress in English and 78% in maths. Results in Science of 60.5% 2A*-C exceed the National Average with triple Science scores at or near 100%. Core subject results were matched by a consistently high performance across subjects, for example, English Literature 86%, German 96%, History and PE GCSE 83% and 98% of students achieved 5+A*-G grades. Results confirm that students did magnificently as a result of a consistent focus on improvement and the absolute belief by staff that each individual should strive to reach their best. As Headteacher I couldn’t be more pleased with this stunning set of results and I would like to thank all the students, parents and staff for their hard work and dedication.

Well done to all Cullompton College students. We wish you every success for the future.
