Thank you to all who contributed articles for the Bags2School Collection on Wednesday 22nd April. We collected 380KG, raising £152.00 for the PTFA to use to support school funds. This means that since March 2013 we have raised £856 and cleared our wardrobes at the same time. Your support is very much appreciated.

See Blog for details.

Keep it up everyone, there are always more items to dig out of your shoe racks and wardrobes and don’t forget to ask your relatives and friends to collect theirs too. Keep them stored somewhere at home until the next collection. collection of reasonable condition household items to raise money for current school projects twice a year”

CCC arrange 2 collections per year where reasonable condition unwanted items are brought in from home by 9am one morning and collected by a business by the end of that day. They pay the school 40p per kilo and recycle the goods to other countries. Look out for the forthcoming dates and keep your items at home until then. Posters are placed around the school approx. a month before, notes are sent home with a blue sack a week or two before (although any bin liner or plastic bag is accepted), a groupcall message will be texted to your phone the night before. There is someone at the sports hall car park from 8-8.35am that morning for adults to drop off large quantities and the children can drop off their smaller bags (a pair of shoes or just a tie is all warmly received!) This currently raises £100-£150 per collection and we hope the momentum will increase as more people get involved. Friends, relatives and neighbours are all welcome to join in.
