Enrichment Week 2017

Plans are well underway for this year's Enrichment Week activities.

Whether crafts and jewelery making, chess and board games or something more active like cycling or surfing there is an activity to suit everyone.

Old favourites include the Bakeoff, Film school, Surfs Up and a variety of sports, along with exciting new entries such as Horse riding, a Coastal Adventue and Walking on Dartmoor. The annual London Trip will include sightseeing and a trip to the theatre to see the musical "Matilda".  On Friday 21st Students will join their friends for a Year trip.

New Hot Snacks Service at breaktime

Avoid the break time queue and check out the new serving counter in the Hall.

Serving a selection of hot snacks, soup, sandwiches and cold drinks it is a quick way of getting your breaktime snacks.

From Friday 20th January we will also be running a Friday breakfast service  from 8am to 8.30am featuring hot breakfast items, cereal, toast and hot and cold drinks.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas at CCC

  The beautifully decorated tree stands tall and shining in Reception, the Library is cosy and inviting for students attending the festive pop up reading event, we held our annual Carol Service at St Andrew's church on 7th December and hosted two performances of Cullompton pre-school's Nativity play - no doubt featuring some future CCC students!

It's All Happening in Science

There's been loads going on in the Science department this year, with extra-curricular Science club on Monday lunchtimes and the re-launch of the ever-popular Science Café, under the new banner of STEM café. Science club has been inundated with students keen to make giant bubble structures, dissect rats, grow their own crystal gardens and engineer marshmallow catapults - what else?!

In STEM café meanwhile, we've welcomed our first speaker -  a Space Detective, who gave us all the chance to experience life on the International Space Station.

Pop Up Reading Event

Year 7 and 8 students -  dont miss our annual Pop Up reading event in the Library.

Rebecca Matthews and Matt Heywood, both in Year 10,  will be reading "A Christmas Carol" at lunch time on Monday 5th December, Thursday 8th December and Monday 12th December.

Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere in the library and be enthralled by the story -  described by Dickens himself in a letter:
