Medieval Castles

Medieval Castles

Year 7 students have been studying Medieval England this term. One aspect of this has been the importance of castles and how and why they changed over time. This has helped them to learn about changes related to power and warfare in England. The students had a choice of homework project, for example, researching an actual castle, designing a castle or making a model. This has been a popular homework project for many years. This year's students have produced excellent pieces of work and have shown a lot of enthusiasm and effort. Well done Year 7!

Melissa Jarrett, 7AJC wrote the following report:

"When going to the student conference we went to 4 sessions (as described above). We all had a great time learning about diversity, and trying different foods and clothes from a different religion/country. This visit reminded us that we are so lucky to be a part of a co-operative school, and we took back ideas and information to help students who might be leading their own projects in their own school."
