On 12th and 13th November the year group spent a day with Careers South West advisors exploring ideas for the future and researching the necessary courses and qualifications.
Thinking ahead and looking at the future invloved researching different careers, the students were divided into several groups which each gathered information to make a poster illustrating all aspects of the career they had worked on. At the end of the day a spokesperson for each group made a presentation. The students thoroughly enjoyed the research and exploring a variety of interesting and rewarding possible careers for their future.

In a Yr 10 Assembly Mr. Sturtivant introduced the Work Experience Programm to students.
During the last week of Summer Term the YR10s are offered the exciting opportunity of gaining first hand knowledge and experience of the world of work. They can choose from a wide variety of local businesses to work with - in the past students have worked for Estate Agents, a local Vet, a Car body workshop, Primary schools, Catering - to name just a few.
It is a wonderful opportunity for students to try out a possible career, meet new people and make new friends, at the same time helping them to find their place in...

In July this year Year 10 students embarked on a week of work experience in their own areas of interest. From Pre-school to printing, dog grooming to designing, accounting to architecture- just some of the areas experienced by our Year 10 students. We had extremely good feedback from the students on their experiences and equally good reports from the employers.
