Christmas 2017 at CCC

Posted on December 14th 2017 by

Christmas at CCC is always a special time.

Students are involved in the celebrations leading up to the Christmas holidays in many different ways  -  decorating the beautiful tree in Reception, singing at the school's annual Carol Concert in St Andrews Church, a Christmas disco for Years 7 and 8, which raised over £200.00 for the PTFA and Year 11 Prom fund, performing at the Christmas Market in Exeter, and of course enjoying a superb festive lunch prepared by Steve and his Staff.

Christmas is also a time for beautiful music and Voicez and Xprecion, our two singing groups within the school have been busy this Christmas. Firstly, they sang at the school's annual Christmas Carol Service, together with 7GJR Tutor Group, performing their own renditions of Christmas favourites.

A total of 36 students from Voicez and Xprecion sang at the Voiceworx Christmas Concert at 'The Venue' at Uffculme school. they sang a total of 11 songs, both popular and Christmas songs, with some wonderful solo performances. Great singing, well done all of you!

12 Students in Xprecion also sang at the Exeter Christmas Market outside the Cathedral, entertaining the Christmas shoppers with Christmas songs, with lovely harmonies

Not forgetting those less fortunate than ourselves, students in Year 8 organised a Christmas food bank collection for St Andrews Church and food donations were overwhelming.

Hi, we are Scarlett Spiller and Jess Flack

As all years are aware, Jess and I have been supporting St Andrews Food bank this Christmas.

On Wednesday 13th December we had a very successful collection of food outside the library. We would like to thank everyone who donated very much for their generosity. We had an outstanding quantity and variety of food which we and the food bank were very grateful for.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who thought of others this Christmas by donating food and we wish you all a  Merry Christmas and happy New Year.
