2016 Prom Committee organise Fundraising Events

The 2016 Prom Committee - Abby Selby, Brady Manser, Akvile Gedvilaite, Will Jee and Zac May - have been working hard to come up with a host of money making ideas to help fund this year's Prom!

Fun fundraising plans include:

First Friday of the month (December to May) a cake sale in the Hall at break and Lunch time.

'Guess how many sweets in the jar' and other challenges posted around the College - keep your eyes open!

November 25th Raffle  - 25p per ticket, strips £1.00

11th December Film Evening, £1.50 PP

18th December Teachers' Quiz, £2.00 PP.

Science Club

Fabulous Science Club on Friday 6th November - five groups getting on with their rat dissections, dyeing and fake-blood-spatter projects, brilliantly supported by the Year 10 helper students.

Science Club happens every Friday, from 1.20pm in Lab.1 These projects run until Christmas so if you see a project you like the look of, or you have a brilliant idea of your own to investigate, don't miss out on the next Science Club start date - Friday 8th January, 2016

Students in Cover to Cover Book Club, which meets in the Library every Wednesday lunchtime,  are enjoying reading a wide variety of books. Here are some comments from the members:

Inter House Cross Country Challenge

  Some very good runners turned up on October 16th for the annual Inter- House Cross Country event at Cullompton Community College. There were some great individual performances and each finisher collected House points.

Click here for the list of the top five finishers in each Year Group.   

     Overall House Points were:

1. Athena    120

2. Ares        112

3. Artemis   110

4. Apollo     101

Cullompton Community College Authors published!

Great excitment in the Library - on display are the two very different books and  CCC students are proudly involved with both books!

16 students saw their work published in 'Grim Tales - The West Country'.The works selected for publication were chosen for their imagination, perception, expression and creative use of language.  ' Grim Tales - The West Country'  was published on 31st August 2015 --  and will be sent to the British Library and further Libraries across the UK and Republic of Ireland, providing a lasting record of the students' achievement.
